Driver Ed in Box Elder County

Enroll in our Driver Ed program in the Box Elder County School District and build your driving confidence with our Utah state-approved program.

Program Phases

  1. Obtain a learner's permit.
  2. Complete 40 hours of driving with a parent (10 hours at night) 
  3. Complete in-person or Online driver ed course
  4. Complete 6 hours of behind-the-wheel lessons
  5. Complete 6 hours of observing behind-the-wheel lessons
  6. Pass Road test

Behind-the-wheel driving is for refining skills and passing the test, not for learning the basics.

Course Overview

To register, you must:

  • Be at least 15 years old
  • Have a valid permit before beginning the driving portion.
  • Plan on attending Bear River High School or Box Elder High School, and/or live within the schools boundaries.

IMPORTANT!

You must attend or live within the boundaries of Box Elder County to register for our courses. Unfortunately, you will be turned away if you proceed without meeting these boundary requirements. You cannot enroll in our courses if you have graduated from high school.

*Priority will be given to students who currently attend Box Elder or Bear River High School.

You must have your permit before you can sign up for behind the wheel.  If you register with false information, you will be removed from the class at the instructor's discretion.
